In addition to GP consultations the practice offers a range of clinics and healthcare services:

Coronary Heart Disease -
by appointment with Dr Gillian Price and Sister Karen Nicoll.
Asthma & COPD -
by appointment with the in-house Community Pharmacist and Sister Karen Nicoll.

Diabetic Clinic - by appointment with Sister Karen Nicoll.

Minor Surgery - monthly by appointment.

Child Health Clinics - developmental checks for babies at 6-weeks old, by appointment.  Please note that childhood vaccinations are now given at a special clinic at Parkgrove Medical Practice.  Parents will be sent an appointment when vaccinations are due.  For appointment queries please contact the Community Vaccination Team on 0131 446 4082.  Please do not contact Parkgrove Practice directly.

Contraceptive Advice - All the doctors and practice nurses are qualified to give contraceptive advice. Please make a routine appointment for this.  Dr Price offers intra-uterine contraceptive device fitting and removal and the fitting and removal of contraceptive implants in the surgery.

Cervical Smears - these can be taken by the practice nurse or by your GP. You will be informed by a standardised letter from NHS Scotland when your smear is due. Please make an appointment to see a practice nurse or GP, making sure that you arrange your appointment when you are in mid-cycle.

syringeNursing Services – including dressings, blood tests, blood pressure monitoring,  stitch removal, ear syringing, first aid, immunisation and smoking cessation.

Physiotherapy Services - Lothian Health provides a comprehensive community and hospital based physiotherapy service and encourages self referral for simple problems or the recurrence of a previous problem.  For advice or to self refer for muscle, back or joint problems, telephone the National Musculoskeletal Advice and Triage Service (MATS) helpline on 0800 917 9390.
